DPE is defined by a density range of 0.910 0.940 g/cm3. It is not reactive at room temperatures, except by strong oxidizing agents, and some solvents cause swelling. It can withstand temperatures of 50C continuously and 60 C for a short time.LDPE (low density polyethylene) is a soft, flexible, lightweight plastic material. It is often used for orthotics and prosthetic. LDPE has good chemical and impact resistance and is easy to fabricate and form.
